Spectre of Eni
Textile print, 150*300 cm2026
A textile banner of a fourteen-legged dog, its head turned backward and its tongue trailing fire – a spectral evocation of Eni, the Italian National Oil Company. Here, it is refigured as a creature tainted with Fascistic desires for extraction and infrastructural violence. The original dog design was selected as Eni’s logo through an open call for artists in the 1950s: a constructed symbol of progress and acceleration, turned a colonial icon of the oil industry.
